Google made a move to extend its reach — and further build its advertiser base — into the mobile world with its November 9, 2009 acquisition of AdMob, a leading mobile advertising platform. AdMob is one of the premier providers of advertising within iPhone applications. With Google’s Android, Double Click Mobile and now AdMob, Google is poised to finally make the mobile space a lucrative one. The deal also points to the importance for businesses to develop a mobile strategy for 2010.
